Book to mark the 200th birthday of Werner von Siemens
December 13th, 2016 marks the 200th anniversary of the birth of Werner von Siemens. Siemens Stiftung is commemorating the anniversary with a special book based on a large collection of his letters. “A Brimming Spirit. Werner von Siemens in Letters” invites readers on an entrepreneurial and intimate journey through the 19th century.
“What is so special about the content of this book is that Werner is the real author. He wrote most of the text himself; all we had to do was put it all together in context,” says Nathalie von Siemens. “Werner is an incredibly inspiring person, who can still encourage us to be entrepreneurial today. The book is for anyone who wants to know more about Werner’s life and enjoy the contagious curiosity and energy that he demonstrates in his letters.”
