From 28-30 November, the Music In Africa Conference For Collaboration, Exchange And Showcases (ACCES 2019) brings together music experts from more than 50 countries to discuss challenges facing the music business, discover emerging musicians, and increase global recognition of African music. This year’s edition of Africa’s largest music conference is in Accra, Ghana.
One of the highlights of the conference will be a Q&A session with Senegalese-American musician Akon, a well-known performer who has received five Grammy nominations. Akon will speak about his experience as a musician and as a businessperson in a highly competitive market.
ACCES 2019 is put on by the Music In Africa Foundation. Goethe Institute, Siemens Stiftung, and a number of additional international organizations are also providing support for the event.
