Spaces where ideas grow: STEAM Spaces in São Paulo

In the new STEAM spaces, it’s all about creative experimentation. This makes the STEM lessons more tangible and accessible.

As part of our commitment to STEM education in Latin America, new spaces for project-based learning have been inaugurated in four schools within the STEAM region of São Paulo. With the aim of inspiring even more schools to design such STEAM spaces and offering practical support in establishing a “STEM-maker” culture, we collaborated with the Laboratorio de Sistemas Integrables Tecnológico (LSI-TEC) at the University of São Paulo (USP) to develop a dedicated online course. The six self-learning modules are available in Portuguese and Spanish through our online portal CREA (Centro de Recursos Educativos Abiertos para la enseñanza STEM). An E-Book complements the course.
“This is a dream classroom that will change the reality of many students. I am happy to see that in a year I’ll be leaving and that this room will still be here to help other students do what I am doing now.” (Ana Vitoria, student, E.E. Oreste Guimarães School)
